MCIOB Award for Warneford Consulting
It is with enormous pride that I can announce that my application to become Chartered Construction Manager has been successful. I would like to express my deep gratitude to Dawn Parias, FCIOB of Construction who supported me through the application process and whom I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone else considering applying.
I attended Salford Universitys RICS accredited Building Surveying BSc course and secured an Upper Second in 2010, however, it has taken me almost 15 years to apply for chartership.
My career has been pretty much entirely spent client-side, but my roles and responsibilities has evolved and developed over that period and have thus afforded me a wonderfully rich insight into the many various opportunities that the building industry provides.
I started my career as building surveyor, progressed upon graduation to become a project manager and contract administrator delivering a varied range of Decent Home Standards funded planned maintenance for social housing clients.
My following career move took me into the energy efficiency and carbon reduction sector, delivering large scale projects across UK cities with high volumes of solid wall properties to both social housing and private stock.
For the past decade I have provided estate, energy and bid management services to the growing academy school sector and for the past 5 years I have run my own company.
I hope this mini biography helps inspire others who may mistakenly consider that their opportunity to apply for chartership has passed them by.
