Corporate Social Responsibility
At Warneford Consulting, social responsibility is at the heart of everything we do. Founder Tim Warneford’s unconventional path through education—leaving school early and later returning to university via evening classes as a mature student—shaped his deep appreciation for second chances.
Thanks to the success of Warneford Consulting, Tim is now able to give back by making annual donations to charities and causes that resonate with his personal journey. His chosen beneficiaries reflect the struggles faced by young people in the UK, whether they come from disadvantaged backgrounds or are refugees. His passion for football, a sport that unites communities, is also mirrored in his charitable efforts.
Tim is committed to creating employment opportunities, especially for those just starting their careers. Through his role as a school governor, he has offered career advice and guidance. He is also launching a podcast focused on helping job seekers craft compelling CVs to improve their chances of success in the job market.

NHYC Sports: Building Community Through Football
By Simon Stevens
NHYC Sports began in summer 2021 with seven young people gathering at Coram’s Fields Pitches in Central London, seeking relief from the challenges of life in temporary accommodation.
Fast forward to September 2024, our FC Hope session welcomed 27 young men and four women who trained with female coaches. Open to all skill levels, FC Hope & Faith United provides a supportive space for young people facing hardship, offering community, friendship, and an escape from isolation.
Our weekly training, matches, and tournaments offer relief from the stresses of homelessness and insecurity. Post-session meals help foster connections and offer much-needed nourishment.
With Tim’s fantastic support, we can continue to run these sessions, organise more matches and tournaments, and grow the community. Donations cover coaching, kits, travel, and food, ensuring everyone can participate fully. Together, we can continue growing this vital community.
Early Career Experience with Cube Building Consultancy
By Cameron Underwood
During my school years, I gained valuable experience assisting Cube Building Consultancy with social media and digital marketing. Tim’s mentorship and the hands-on experience introduced me to branding, strategic communication, and the professional world.
The skills I learned at Cube laid a solid foundation for my career, enabling me to work with global brands. Paid work opportunities allows young people to explore their interests, identify their strengths, and understand their long-term career aspirations through real-world experience. I think such opportunities instil a strong work ethic and foster an appreciation for the value of hard work. I highly recommend offering similar opportunities to young people—it’s a powerful investment in their future.
Smarter Uniforms: Reducing Waste, Saving Families Money
By Anna McDevitt
Brighton-based Smarter Uniforms helps families access affordable second-hand school uniforms. Since 2017, they’ve saved over 15,600 items from landfill and helped parents save over £140,000. Their online marketplace allows Brighton and Hove families to buy, sell, or access free uniforms, supporting both financial savings and sustainability.
With UK parents spending up to £422 per child on uniforms annually, Smarter Uniforms extends the life of schoolwear, reducing waste and costs. They’re now expanding to include local sportswear, making it more accessible for families.
A big thank you to Tim for his generous donation, which helps sustain our vital work.
VYD – Improving Lives Through Football
By Gary Pleece
VYD is a Brighton-based non-profit using football to engage and support individuals from marginalised backgrounds. By offering free sessions, we remove barriers and create opportunities for participants to reach their potential.
At VYD (Value Your Development), we believe football is a tool for personal growth. Our programs foster leadership, communication, teamwork, and discipline—skills that extend beyond the pitch, preparing participants for success in all areas of life.
A big thank you to Tim for his generous donation, which will help provide footwear for our refugee football group, ensuring everyone can participate fully.
Montpelier Villa FC – Brighton’s Grassroots Football Club
By David Baker
Montpelier Villa is a Brighton-based grassroots club with men’s and women’s teams playing step 6 football. Known for “The Villa Way,” we proudly offer a pathway for young players, a strong youth setup through our partnership with Withdean Youth, and Sussex’s largest veterans’ team.
In 2022, we faced financial challenges and a lack of volunteers. After a board restructure and a clear vision, our goal became owning our own stadium to reduce costs and grow our fan base.
In 2025, we move into our new home, creating more opportunities to give back to the community. We’re focused on building long-term relationships with sponsors, offering benefits like business promotion through social media, matchday program ads, and free entry to senior matches.
Tim’s generous sponsorship will fund new men’s first team matchday kit, helping us continue our journey and strengthen our connection with the 8-60 year-old demographic we serve.
