Warneford Consulting to Present at Westminster Education Forum on the Future of the School Estate
The Westminster Education Forum policy conference will take place online on Thursday 15 January 2026 from 08:30, bringing together leaders from across the sector to discuss building condition, retrofitting, and decarbonisation across the 22,000-school estate.
Warneford Consulting’s Tim Warneford has been invited to speak, offering his perspective on the current state of the education estate and the government’s priorities around funding, maintenance, rebuilding, and long-term planning for school buildings.
Speakers will represent the full breadth of the education landscape, from central government, the DfE, and Local Authorities to consultants and contractors, each contributing insight and experience to the forum.
Tim will continue to advocate for substantial government investment in the school estate, highlighting the importance of retaining the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) and encouraging a more utilitarian and strategic approach to capital funding allocations.
Warneford Consulting provides strategic estate and energy management services to dioceses, large Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and stand-alone trusts nationwide. The team will soon launch GEMZ, our newly developed estate management software package that integrates building condition and performance data to help trusts prioritise investment, optimise returns, and exceed the standards set out in the DfE’s 2025 estate management policy.
Tim’s presentation slides will be published on our website following the event for anyone wishing to download them.
