Tim Warneford Speaking at Education Estates in Manchester October 12-13th
Warneford Consulting are thrilled to return to the Education Estates Conference in Manchester this year, where we will be both exhibiting and presenting in a live environment.
Please do come and see us at Stand G15 and at 15.30 on Tuesday 12th, on The Good Estate Management Stage, where our Director, Tim Warneford, will be co-presenting with Director of Income Generation, Kevin Yardley of the Generations Trust, on “Optimising the Estate.”
The presentation will focus on how schools can use their estate’s facilities to create much needed additional income streams to bridge funding gaps and provide first class sporting facilities for their pupils.
Tim says “It really is one of the highlights of the academy school conference circuit as James Lee and his excellent team, run a tight ship and always make everyone welcome. I look forward to co-presenting with Kevin as we seek to encourage other schools to explore innovative ways for funding improvements to existing estate facilities and, by so doing, transforming the experiences of pupils and local people.”
Kevin’s talk will be about how the trust have placed their schools at the heart of their community and understood local needs. Moving from the everyday hiring of halls and gyms to ‘pop-up’ restaurants, wedding receptions and the new build sixth form block.
Kevin and Tim discuss accessing academies handbook compliant operating leases and power purchase agreements, how to attract inward investment and partnering arrangements with sports and leisure companies to offset costs.
Kevin Yardley said, ‘’I hope to be able to demonstrate the art of the possible and inspire other trusts to partner with their communities and sporting bodies to bring about both physical and financial change to their stakeholders.’’
Anyone unable to attend but who would like a copy of their presentation is invited to get in touch with Tim directly here.
