Tim Warneford opinion piece about the school energy crisis in latest edition of Schools Week
Rising energy costs are a teachable moment for the education sector, writes Tim Warneford, Director of Warneford Consulting, in the latest edition of Schools Week. Tim highlights how an unregulated energy market within which schools operate, leaves them extremely vulnerable to large price hikes, but with a vision and some swotting up, schools can actually make savings.
This opinion piece follows on from the recent ’School Energy Ticking Timebomb’ webinar where Tim appeared with Poweful Allies’, James Robson. The webinar focused on the dilemmas facing all trusts who had not procured their energy contracts last year and are now facing enormous hikes in electricity and especially gas rates.
