Saving Costs and Carbon: What’s not to like?

Tim Warneford and Steve Bolt, of BCR Associates, gave a joint presentation at the Virtual MAT Expo on how schools can make both cost and carbon savings..

Warneford Consulting and BCR are currently working with Lloyds Banks Education team, building up case study data in order to provide practical evidence of the route to identifying what renewable energy installations would be most suitable for their clients.

The customer journey starts with analysis of the existing energy suppliers contract, rates and small print such as ‘volume tolerances’ that provide an insight in to understanding if the current deal represents the best the market has to offer.

Data evidence is collected through the installation of loggers and meters to capture usage data both in and out of term before providing an evidenced based set of options appraisals and recommendations.

The advice includes funding options that range from government backed schemes such as the Salix Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF) and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) through to funding from finance vehicles such as Operating Leases and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) that offer zero CAPEX and OPEX.

If your school are interested in making energy cost savings through installations such as Solar PV, LED lighting and other renewable energy measures, please watch the short video below or contact us directly.
